IT Services recently rolled out updates and design changes to grouper.uchicago.edu. These changes were made in an attempt to make the site more user friendly. It is important to understand some of the basic functionality associated with using this site following these upgrades. One of the most important things that users will need to understand how to do is to search for groups.

In order to search for a group, you should type in the name of the group you are looking for in the search bar in the upper right of your screen.

You can scroll through the results and find the group that you are looking for.

Clicking on the name will take you directly to the group’s home page.

If you wish to make it easier for yourself to find that group again in the future, you can add it to your favorites list.

To do this, you should click on the More actions drop-down. As you can see, one of the options is Add to my favorites. This group will now appear when you click on My Favorites in the left hand navigation panel.

Please contact IT Services Support with any questions.
