Email - Resetting Email Forwarding After Account Closure

This article provides instructions on resetting email forwarding after account closure.

If your account has been closed and you are an alumni of the University, your email forwarding privileges and address are maintained. However, if you are not an alumni and your account is closed, for example if you are a student who has taken multiple quarters off, any email forwarding preferences will be erased. If you then return to the University, you may find that the email account you previously used as the recipient of your uchicago emails no longer receives these emails. In this case, you must reset your email preferences. This can be done by visiting http://cnet.uchicago.edu/forwarding; from this site you can set your preferred email destination to either UChicago's provided Gmail account or any account of your choice.
