Installing OpenText HostExplorer v15
- IMPORTANT: If you are currently logged on to the mainframe and have any open sessions (CICS, TSO, etc.) you MUST COMPLETELY LOG OFF of them all.
Do NOT use Ctrl-Q hot-key sequence or just disconnect from the mainframe with the light-switch toggle button.
Failure to completely log off will likely result in problems initiating sessions in CICS (DBCOAS, DBFSESA, DBFSESB, etc.) after the upgrade.
- Install OpenText HostExplorer 15
NOTE: Installation of HostExplorer requires a Windows Administrator account. If this is an issue, then please contact IT Services Support.
- Reboot the PC
If not already done, reboot the PC after HostExplorer15 is installed.
- Configure encryption using AT-TLS TLSv1
For instructions on configuring encryption (AT-TLS TLSv1) after installing HostExplorer, see Mainframe – Enabling AT-TLS TLSv1 on HostExplorer
