One of the features that the Directory Team is rolling out is the ability to list multiple phone numbers on an organization’s contact page.
To access this, simply go to the Directory Update System at reviewers.uchicago.edu. You should sign in using your CNetID and password.
Please note that to make use of this feature, you must have first claimed the organization. To do this, you should go to ‘Search for Departments/Divisions” or “Search for Sub Departments” and type in the name of the organization that you wish to claim. Then, once you find it in the search results, you can select ‘Add to my Sub Departments’.
You should now select the Edit button at the top of the page next to the organization’s contact information.
On this page, under “Custom Phone Numbers”, you can add up to three additional phone numbers, giving them any name you wish.
So, for example, if you want to add an academic number, an appointment number, and an emergency number, you have the ability to do so.
Make sure that you click the save button at the bottom of the page or all the information you just added will be lost.
Please make sure that the title you choose for your number will be something that is recognizable to everyone that will have to use that number because, as you can see, that title appears on the contact page.
If you have any questions, email the Directory Office at directory.uchicago.edu. Also, if you experience any technical difficulties with this video or would like to make an accessibility related request, please send us a message.
