This article explains configuration choices within Delphi Planning for job pools.

This article explains configuration choices within Delphi Planning for job pools.

When you create a new row in UCSAL for a job pool entry, you have several configuration choices. Each job pool type has several hidden associated attributes. In combination with the job title (or job code), these attributes complete the configuration of your job pool entry.

Fringe Benefit Rates: (These rates change annually, so this is an example)

  • Benefit eligible - Federal = 26.6%
  • Benefit eligible - University/Non-Federal = 29.6%
  • Benefit ineligible = 7.5%

Benefit Eligibility Codes

  • BE_F for full
  • BE_P for partial
Note: FY18 Code change to be made for those with scheduled hours over 20 to get full-time rate. Until then, manual fringe for the difference needs to be added for those records.
  • BE_I for ineligible

Benefit Levels

  • BL0 for students, non-employee fellows
  • BL1 for academics and officers (benefits plus mandatory CRP)
  • BL2 for staff (regular benefits)
  • BL3 for temporary or casual employees

Note: You can use any Job Type (BE_I) with Benefit Level 3 (BL3) when you need to do benefits ineligible staff/fac/oaa. This job type can be combined with the job code and salary sub-account of your choice to make what is being pooled more obvious, since the pool name won't be in this case.
