How do I create accounts for additional editors on my site?

Read the KB Article with instructions for adding users to your site.

How do I embed a Google calendar, map or other javascript code on my site?

For security reasons, users are not permitted to embed javascript on their site. If you need to embed a javascript snippet, use the Feedback and Support link in your site's toolbar to contact support, and provide the snippet and the page where it should be embedded.

How do I change the order of my homepage features? How many homepage features can I have on my site?

Homepage features are displayed in descending order based on the date the feature was created. Only the latest five published features are displayed. To change the create date for a feature, change the Authored on field in the Authoring information section at the bottom of the feature's edit screen:
Change the order of your features by changing the authored on date

To ensure that a particular feature is always displayed first, check off the Sticky at top of lists box in the Promotion settings section at the bottom of the feature's edit screen:

Click the video icon to insert a video

On the insert screen, enter the URL of the video you want to embed. You can find the URL by going directly to the YouTube or Vimeo page for the video. The URL should be in one of the following formats:

  • http://www.vimeo.com/123456

You may optionally enter a width and height, or click Insert to accept the default dimensions (452 x 284 pixels).

I made an update to my site, but I do not see my changes reflected after I saved and signed out.

For performance reasons, your site caches content for up to ten minutes. Although you should not notice any delays to updates while signed in to your site, users who are not signed in as editors may not see your updates for a few minutes. To force your content to refresh immediately, click on the Flush caches link in your site's toolbar.

How can I track the number of visits to my site? Can I add Google Analytics tracking?

You can create your own account with Google Analytics and add your account information to your site in the Configuration screen. Watch a short video to see how to add Google Analytics

How do I add a blog to my site?

How do I restrict a page so that visitors must sign in with their CNetID and password to view the content?

On any basic page, news article, or webform, click the Access Control tab, uncheck the box for Anonymous visitors, and click Submit.

IMPORTANT: Although the content of a page restricted to CNet users only can not be viewed by anonymous visitors, any files you upload and link to from this page are not protected in the same manner. Uploaded files can always be viewed by anyone with a direct link to the file. If you need a secure place to store files, consider uploading them to Box.com instead.
Uncheck anonymous visitors on the access control tab.

Can I add collapsible, accordion-style text to my content?

To collapse content, surround it with [collapsed]...[/collapse] tags as shown below:
Surround your text with collapsed/collapse tags

The result looks like this, where clicking on the title reveals the collapsed text:
Text between the tags is collapsed
