This article explains how to set up Microsoft Outlook 2013 for xMail for use on campus.

If your computer is joined to the Active Directory (AD), you can take advantage of auto-configuration. When setting up a new account for xMail, Outlook will automatically fill in the appropriate settings.

  1. When opening Outlook 2013 for the first time, the Startup wizard appears. Click Next on the Welcome screen.

  2. Ensure the radio button for Yes is selected to setup an email account, then select Next.

  3. To have Outlook automatically configure your account, click the radio button next to E-mail Account. Fill out your name, email address, and CNet password before selecting the Next button.

  4. When your account is discovered, a successful message will appear. Click Finish to close the setup wizard and open Outlook 2013 in the Mail view.
