xMail - Windows 8 - Mail Configuration

This article explains how to configure xMail using the default Mail application in Windows 8.

  1. From the Start screen, open Mail.
  2. You may see a blank screen. Bring up the Charm Bar by pressing Windows+C or moving your mouse to the top right corner of the screen.
  3. Click Settings.

  4. Click Accounts
    Settings

  5. Click Add an account
    Accounts

  6. Choose Outlook
    Add an account

  7. Enter your CNetID@uchicago.edu and password, then click Connect. Mail will automatically discover your account.
