Email - Guidelines for Requesting Auto-replies By System Administrators
This article explains guidelines for requesting that an email system administrator place an auto-reply on an email account on the user's behalf.
Email users have the ability and are expected to manage their own "out of office" auto-replies. In rare and unique situations, an email administrator may be asked to perform this function.
To fulfill this request, email administrators require the following:
- approval from either the end user, Legal, or Network Security
- the exact text of the desired auto-reply message
- approximate date and time in the immediate future to ensure proper auto-reply time frame is met (optional)
