Mapping a Network Drive

This article explains how to map a network drive in Windows and Mac OS X.

STOP!  Before you begin, if you were just granted this access and haven't logged out since, log out and log back in. You may have been added to a group to gain access and that membership won't be reflected on your windows PC until you've logged back in.

Notes

  • The drive letters used in the examples below are arbitrary. You can use any available letter.
  • If you wish to map drives from off campus, you will need to establish a VPN connection first.

Windows 7

  1. Right-click on Computer through the Start menu (Windows Logo). Click on Map network drive.
