Business Objects - IRF - Payroll Sequence and Transaction Codes

This article explains the differences and relationship between the sequence code and transaction code on a payroll distribution.

The Payroll Sequence code identifies classes of PAR transactions (NOT FAS transactions). The current documented values are: 60=accrual; 65=expense transfer; 70=cancellation; 75=overpayment; 80=hand-drawn check; 85=current payroll.

The Payroll Transaction code shows the type of transaction for the sequence code. i.e., the type of current payroll (sequence code 85) or what a expense transfer (sequence code 65) is modifying/correcting (i.e. the previous or original sequence code or transaction code; that is being modified).
