Outlook 2007 - Exporting Rules

This article explains how to export a set of rules from Outlook 2007. When you export rules, they are saved in a file with an .rwz extension. You can create a backup copy of your rules by using this procedure.

  1. In the Navigation Pane, click Mail.
  2. On the Tools menu, click Rules and Alerts.
  3. If you have more than one email account, in the Apply changes to this folder list, select the Inbox that you want.
  4. Click Options.
  5. Click Export Rules.
  6. In the File name box, type the path and file name for the set of rules that you want to export.
  7. Click Save.
