UChicago Wikis - Editing

This article explains editing and formatting text in UChicago Wikis.

How do I edit pages in the wiki?

Refer to Confluence Documentation for details.

How do I put a chart I’ve made in Excel into my page?

Content from Microsoft Office files can be added to wikis in a handful of ways.

  • First, the files can be uploaded as attachments to the Page (under Add > Attachments).
  • Second, visual items such as charts can be inserted as a picture; if you export your chart or take a screen shot of it, you can add an image to the page using the Insert Image button in the toolbar of the text editor.
  • Finally, you may want to check out the View File Macro, listed in our Top 10 Coolest Wiki Macros list.
