This article explains how to subscribe to an email mail list with a CNetID or a Non-CNetID email via the Mailing List Service.
Subscribe to an Email List With a CNetID
A list owner may subscribe you to an email list, but you can also ask to be subscribed to an email list on the Lists website (lists.uchicago.edu). To submit your request to subscribe to an email list, select the email list from the List of Lists page. Click Subscribe in the left navigation bar. Click OK in confirmation dialog box to confirm that you want to subscribe.
Subscribe to an Email List With a Non-CNetID Email
If you're using a Non-CNetID email address, you will use that email address and your Lists password to log in to the Lists website. Once you log in to the Lists website, the instructions for managing your subscriptions and mailing lists are the same.
To subscribe to a public list, use the instructions above. After you subscribe to a list, you'll be required to enter a system-generated password, which you can change on the Lists website. If someone subscribes you to a list, you'll need to request a system-generated password before you can log in to the Lists website.
