Mailing Lists - Changing Your Subscriber Options

This article explains how to change mailing list subscriber options via the Mailing List Service. Specifically, this article shows how you receive messages (directly or digest), message format (plain text or html), and if other subscribers can view your membership status.

Change my subscriber options (reception, visibility)

Once you become a subscriber to an email list, you can change your subscriber options to select an email notification format and determine how you appear on the list page to other group members.

To change your subscriber options, select an email list from the left navigation bar, then click Subscriber Options. You can view a full list of subscriber options on the Subscriber Settings page.

  • Receiving Messages: In the Receiving Mode field, you can choose whether you receive your email messages directly or in digest form. You can also choose between plain text and an html options for your emails.
  • Subscriber visibility: In the Visibility field, you can also change your visibility status, which determines the whether or not other email list subscribers can view your membership status. If you list yourself as visible, other members will see you on the review page. By selecting the concealed option, only list owners and moderators will be able to see your information.
