Firefox - Pop-Up Blocking

This article explains how to disable and then re-enable pop-up blocking in Firefox.

Firefox offers the ability to automatically block unsolicited pop-up windows. By default this feature is enabled - you simply need to start surfing the web to take advantage of the feature.

Because it is automatically enabled, you don't need to make any configuration changes. However it is certainly possible to disable this feature and if you'd like to re-enable the feature, follow the instructions below:

  1. Go to Firefox's preferences menu
    • In Windows: Tools > Options
    • InMac: Firefox > Preferences
  2. Click on the Content tab
    Firefox pop-up screen
  3. You may configure exceptions to this rule by clicking on the Exceptions button.

Please note: some web pages which use pop-up windows may not work with this setting.
