This article explains how to access Mathematica, a computation and visualization package available to all current faculty, students, and staff.
Create a Wolfram account using your UChicago address: https://user.wolfram.com/portal/login.html.
Alert: Wolfram will use this account to send you your license key.
Download the appropriate license type for your situation:
UChicago Faculty and Staff can obtain the campus license through the Wolfram User Portal.
UChicago Faculty and Staff can obtain the home license using the
Site Home-Use Mathematica License Request Form at the Wolfram website.
UChicago Students: can obtain the campus license through the Wolfram User Portal.
Complete all required fields and select Online Activation.
Join our user mailing list. This list is used to disseminate information about new versions, license updates, and any other news relevant to this license. You can subscribe to this list from the web page at https://lists.uchicago.edu/web/info/mathematica-users (please use an @uchicago.edu address).
Note: Valid email domains are: @uchicago.edu, @chicagobooth.edu, @chicagogsb.edu or @uchospitals.edu. Mathematica is licensed for use by all current students, faculty, and staff of the University of Chicago. If at any time you leave the university, you must remove your copy of the software, or make arrangements with Wolfram to purchase the commercial version.
