This article explains email options for University alumni.
Start by creating a CNetID at http://itservices.uchicago.edu/services/cnetid and choosing the menu option “Create your CNetID and Password.” While creating your CNetID, you will also set up the target address for your forwarding. There will also be menu items for changing your password and question and answer set on this menu.
You can change the target address for your forwarding by going to “Forwarding your @uchicago.edu email.”
If you think you already have an alumni forwarding account or forgot your CNet password, contact the Alumni Office or visit the Alumni Reset Your Password page.
If you would like to stop forwarding email from your alumni forwarding account, contact the Alumni Office at alumni-support@uchicago.edu to cancel the service.
For alumni.uchicago.edu accounts
Previously, alumni who had username@alumni.uchicago.edu addresses could control their email forwarding without having a CNetID. This could cause confusion, as alumni are also now eligible for alumni CNetIDs that provide campus wireless, control of a cnetid@uchicago.edu email address, and access to the alumniandfriends.uchicago.edu website! IT Services has thus streamlined this process by merging old username@alumni.uchicago.edu email addresses with CNetIDs. Alumni may claim a CNetID using the above links, then adjust their forwarding as needed. When you adjust the forwarding for your cnetid@uchicago.edu email address, your username@alumni.uchicago.edu email address will automatically change as well.
